An applicant might renew his or her license greater than a hundred and twenty days before its expiration if the applicant states in writing that he or she is not going to be in the state through the a hundred and twenty days before the license expires. Any license issued to an individual on lively military obligation does not expire. Active duty army licenses expire 30 days after return to Wisconsin or 90 days after discharge from active duty, whichever is earlier. A Class D driver’s license expires at midnight on the 6-year anniversary of the licensee’s birthday or the “period of keep” date if an immigration doc is introduced for proof of identity. The licenses of drivers age seventy eight and older expire at midnight on the four-yr anniversary of the licensee’s birthday.
Right wing parties historically do better in lower turnouts, so anything that suppresses the vote, particularly among lower income voters, is useful.
